Events

Black Theatre Ensemble is dedicated to celebrating the heritage and culture of the Black community and their efforts reach beyond formal productions. BTE hosts several open mic nights throughout the year, which can also be referred to as coffeehouses. Students from a variety of backgrounds come together to showcase their poetic, musical, or written talents. BTE also hosts various workshops and events where guest speakers are invited, dialogue is facilitated, or people can come to learn more about the inner-workings that go on when creating a theatrical work.
